Epilogue – based on the teleplay by Albert Aley & story by Dan Ullman
(DAISY and SLIM come out of the Sherman ranch house.)
DAISY: I wish Mike and you were coming with me to pick out the curtains.
SLIM: Well, I…
MIKE: I think we oughta, Slim.
SLIM: Well, I know you think so. We’ve got a lot of chores to catch up on around here, Daisy. You go ahead and pick out what you want and we’ll see you about supper.
DAISY: Oh, I forgot to tell you, supper’s all made. It’s on the back of the stove. All you have to do is heat it up. I don’t think I’ll be back until tomorrow morning.
SLIM: What d’ya’ mean you won’t be back ’til tomorrow morning?
DAISY: Oh, I don’t want to drive both ways in one day. I’ll just take a room at the hotel.
SLIM: Oh no you won’t. Not again. Come on, Mike. We’re going. (Hoists MIKE into the back of the buckboard.) Move over. (Gets into buckboard and picks up reins.) Hey! (Whistles) Come on! (Drives the buckboard out of the ranch yard.)
