KILLER FEARS LYNCH MOB
Bartholomew Holgate, wanted for murder by the town of Bender in Wyoming Territory, was captured in the foothills south of Sacramento this morning. Holgate pleaded with the local authorities against being returned to Bender. The prisoner stated that he would be turned over to a mob which would lynch him.
