Epilogue – based on “The Jailbreakers,” a teleplay by Albert Aley and story by John C. Champion

(SLIM SHERMAN walks LILA STEVENS to the stagecoach in the Sherman ranch yard and helps her inside.)

LILA STEVENS: Bye, Slim. Thank you.

SLIM SHERMAN: Everything will work out, Lila. You go back to Cheyenne and try to forget.

LILA STEVENS: Trying is one thing, Slim. Forgetting is something else.

SLIM SHERMAN: Did you see Gil before you left Laramie?

LILA STEVENS: Yes I did. He, ah, he said he’d come see me as soon as he could travel.

SLIM SHERMAN: Ah, that’s fine.

LILA STEVENS: He’s still in love with Gina.

SLIM SHERMAN: A man can love a memory for just so long, Lila. Then he’ll be looking for somethin’ to love back. You be patient.

STAGECOACH DRIVER: We’re ready to roll, Slim.

SLIM SHERMAN: Alright, take it away.

(Stagecoach leaves as SLIM SHERMAN and LILA STEVENS wave goodbye.)
