Dialogue/Figurative Language/Literary References/Quotes
“The Lawyer” bears a striking resemblance to the “Sugarfoot” character appearing in the series of the same name (1957-1961) Beau remarks that he “looks familiar.” Could it be a reference to the fact that “Sugarfoot” appeared in rotating episodes with Cheyenne (Season 1) and Cheyenne, Bronco (Season 2), and Bronco (Season 3), which meant that in a 4 year run, “Sugarfoot, ” only had 69 episodes, roughly equivalent to a 2-year run for a sequential series. Sugarfoot was set in the Oklahoma Territory.
Ebenezer Bolt: Our lives ain’t worth a plug nickel if he catches us.
Benson January: Well, handsome is as handsome does.
