Servings: 4-6

 

 

Ingredients:

1 1/2 pounds small (1” – 1 1/2”) evenly sized baby potatoes, skin on or off

Cold water

 

Butter Sauce:

2 tablespoons unsalted butter

1/2 teaspoon Pickling or Kosher salt

1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper

 

Garnishes:

1 tablespoon snipped fresh parsley, chives, rosemary, or dill

Grated Parmesan cheese

Crumbled bacon

 

 

Process

Clean potatoes.

Place potatoes in a large saucepan

Add enough cold water to cover potatoes with 1” of water.

Bring the water to a boil.

Boil potatoes until they are fork tender, test after 8 -18 minutes. The actual time will depend on the size of the potatoes.

Drain the potatoes.

Place them in a serving dish.

Melt the butter in the saucepan. Add salt and pepper. Stir to combine.

Pour butter sauce over the potatoes.

Taste, adding salt and pepper as desired.

If desired, sprinkle with desired garnish(es).

Serve.
