The Mojave Chase
Western Version of “Fox and Hound”
For the third year, Mojave businessman Billy-Joe Kane will bet that no rider can elude the town’s posse for forty-eight hours. The game is open to any rider who will cover Mr. Kane’s bet.  By surrounding the desert water holes, the posse has captured every contestant, so far, in less than thirty hours.

Fee

$1000 upon delivery of the Mojave water rights and a $5,000 bet at 5-1 odds (to cover $10,000 + the Mojave water rights).  Take note of the final reckoning.
