Epilogue – based on the script “License to Kill” by Don Mullally & Lee Erwin
(The BURRO stands by the Sherman Ranch Stage Stop sign. Inside the ranchhouse, SLIM SHERMAN and JESS HARPER are eating. BEN comes out of the kitchen.)
BEN: You know what I forgot to tell you the day you come home?
SLIM SHERMAN: You’re getting’ married.
BEN: Oh, no. Nothin’ like that.
JESS HARPER: You learned how to cook.
BEN: Yep… No. It’s about that silver dollar that Sam Jarrod gi’ me for his food the day he took Jess off.
SLIM SHERMAN: What about it it?
BEN: It isn’t silver at all. It’s lead. Now how do you figure a lawman would do a thing like that?
(JESS HARPER and SLIM SHERMAN laugh.)
