SAN FRANCISCO STAR
San Franciscan Wins Louisiana Lottery.
$600,000 TICKET HELD BY LOCAL CAVALRYMAN.
New Orleans- Last night on the bedecked and celebrity-filled stage of the Academy of Music the winning number in the Louisiana Lottery was drawn from a giant bowl filled with 100,000 numbers.
The name on the winning receipt was that of Corporal Mike Callahan, whose listed address is San Francisco. The sponsors of the lottery announce that Corporal Callahan must personally notify New Orleans and confirm that he holds the correct number to collect his mammoth $600,000 grand prize.
This newspaper, as well as civic authorities, have traced Corporal Callahan to his last station at Fort Steele, but have been unable to locate him and inform him of his bonanza. Unless Corporal Callahan comes forward, or can be found within a week, he risks forfeiting the grand prize.
Fee
Corporal Callahan offers 1/6th of the value of the ticket – $100,000
