Epilogue – based on the script “Cactus Lady” by Maury Geraghty
(JESS HARPER rides up to the Sherman ranch house with the horse that Troy rode out on. SLIM SHERMAN comes out of the front door.)
SLIM SHERMAN: Where’d ya find ‘im?
JESS HARPER: Outside the fence on the east section. Got a lot a miles behind ‘im.
SLIM SHERMAN: Yeah sure looks that way doesn’t he?
JESS HARPER: I saw the minister in town. Says he’s goin’ to be back in the pulpit by Sunday.
SLIM SHERMAN: Ah, that’s fine. I knew he was too tough to go under.
JESS HARPER: Hey, you know Slim, if I was the curious kind, I’d wonder just what did happen the other night.
SLIM SHERMAN: Yeah, of course, you’re not the curious kind, Jess.
(JESS HARPER grins, laughs and turns away. SLIM SHERMAN cuffs JESS HARPER on the sleeve.)
