Yield: 1 sandwich

 

 

Ingredients

 

2 leaves endive, escarole, frisee, or chickory, washed, dried, and cut to fit the bread

 

2 paper thin slices Havarti cheese 

 

1 teaspoon whole grain Dijon mustard

 

2 slices brown bread

 

 

Steps

  1. Place one slice of bread on the place.
  2. Place a slice of Havarti on top of the bread.
  3. Thinly spread mustard on top of the Havarti slice.
  4. Place the 2 leaves of lettuce on top of the mustard.
  5. Place the second piece of Havarti on top of the lettuce.
  6. Press second slice of bread down lightly on the top of the sandwich.
  7. Allow sandwich to rest until cheese comes to room temperature.
  8. Serve.
