Ingredients
2 leaves endive, escarole, frisee, or chickory, washed, dried, and cut to fit the bread
2 paper thin slices Havarti cheese
1 teaspoon whole grain Dijon mustard
2 slices brown bread
Steps
- Place one slice of bread on the place.
- Place a slice of Havarti on top of the bread.
- Thinly spread mustard on top of the Havarti slice.
- Place the 2 leaves of lettuce on top of the mustard.
- Place the second piece of Havarti on top of the lettuce.
- Press second slice of bread down lightly on the top of the sandwich.
- Allow sandwich to rest until cheese comes to room temperature.
- Serve.
