Epilogue – based on the script “Death Wind” by Donn Mullally & Lee Erwin
(SLIM SHERMAN is lifting the Sherman ranch house porch roof. JESS HARPER is trying to fit the support pole back under it.)
JESS HARPER: Come on, Slim. Push!
SLIM SHERMAN: What do ya think I’m doin’?
JESS HARPER: You’re big enough to eat hay. Push harder.
SLIM SHERMAN: Just get the pole under there, will ya? (JESS HARPER and SLIM SHERMAN finally get the pole set.)
JONESY: Give us a hand over here, Slim.
(SLIM SHERMAN pushes the other side of the porch roof up while JONESY and ANDY SHERMAN position the pole to support it.)
JONESY: Ah, there we are.
ANDY SHERMAN: That twister sure blew in a strange lot of people. None of them turned out to be what they seemed to be.
JONESY: I wouldn’t say that. You take that dude lookin’ feller named Teague. He seemed like a real slick gamblin’ man. Far as I’m concerned, that’s exactly what he was. Why that…(Hits the pole with his hammer three times) took me for two months pay while I was still waitin’ for him to start cheatin’.
(Everyone looks around.)
JONESY: Over here, Andy.
