(JESS HARPER and SAM MOORE slowly ride up to the Sherman ranch house.)
SAM MOORE: Well, I guess I better be ridin’ back to the farm.
JESS HARPER: You’re welcome to stay and clean up some, Sam.
SAM MOORE: I know, Jess, But I think ah…
MIKE WILLIAMS: (Carrying a heavy bucket) Hi.
JESS. Hi.
SAM MOORE: Be almost sundown when I get…
SLIM SHERMAN: Just in time.
JESS HARPER: What’s Mike doin’? Puttin’ out a fire?
SLIM SHERMAN: No, we’re just keepin’ im busy. Sam, you better go inside. Little feller in there’s been yellin’ for ya.
SAM MOORE: Huh! (Quickly dismounts over the hitching rail and runs into the ranch house)
SLIM SHERMAN: You’re not the only one that’s been busy.
(JESS HARPER slowly dismounts and ties up his horse.)
