Epilogue – based upon the script for “The Star Trail” by Douglas Heyes
(JESS HARPER closes a gate, bearing a sign reading Sherman Ranch Stage Stop Laramie 12 miles, behind him and rides down the road. SLIM SHERMAN gallops towards him, waving.)
SLIM SHERMAN: Well, came back, huh?
JESS HARPER: Darned if I didn’t.
SLIM SHERMAN: Decided you were needed here more than there?
JESS HARPER: Well I found out one thing, Slim. It’s not all in who needs me. It’s what I need, too. Let’s get on home.
