FANDANGO CONTINUES
Denton, Texas – Today, Bob Olson and James Horton escaped from Sheriff Ernie Backwater and from a hanging. The boys leaped out of the courtroom window after the death penalty had been pronounced on them for the murder of Tom Petty, age 19. Olson had testified that they had not set out to kill Petty, that it had just been a fandango.
