Brothers Threaten Range War.
Amanda, Texas June 12th – A five year old estrangement between brothers, Walter and Anthony De Vries, now threatens to turn into a full scale range war. Anthony De Vries, a homesteader, has stated that he will place barbed wire around his land. Local opinion agrees that if he is permitted to do so other homesteaders will follow suit and the cattle empire of Walter De Vries may be threated. The older De Vries has avowed that he will burn out and kill, if necessary, the first man who raises wire on the contested land.
