Epilogue – based on “The Accusers,” a teleplay by Albert Aley & story by Dan Ullman
(DAISY COOPER and SLIM SHERMAN come out of the Sherman ranch house.)
DAISY COOPER: I wish Mike and you were coming with me to pick out the curtains.
SLIM SHERMAN: Well, I…
MIKE WILLIAMS: I think we oughta, Slim.
SLIM SHERMAN: Well, I know you think so. We’ve got a lot of chores to catch up on around here, Daisy. You go ahead and pick out what you want and we’ll see you about supper.
DAISY COOPER: Oh, I forgot to tell you, supper’s all made. It’s on the back of the stove. All you have to do is heat it up. I don’t think I’ll be back until tomorrow morning.
SLIM SHERMAN: What d’ya’ mean you won’t be back ’til tomorrow morning?
DAISY COOPER: Oh, I don’t want to drive both ways in one day. I’ll just take a room at the hotel.
SLIM SHERMAN: Oh no you won’t. Not again. Come on, Mike. We’re going. (Hoists MIKE WILLIAMS into the back of the buckboard.) Move over. (Gets into buckboard and picks up reins.) Hey! (Whistles) Come on! (Drives the buckboard out of the ranch yard.)
