Oscar Wilde, The English author, now on a lecture tour of this country, was headed West aboard a Union Pacific train, it was announced last night by Colonel J. L. Carrington, president of the Civic Cultural Society in San Diego.
“Since train bridges are washed out after Gospel Gulch”, said Colonel Carrington. “We are having Mr. Wilde board a special chartered coach for this city. We are taking every precaution to see that he gets here in time.”
