DAWES ELUDES KANSAS JUSTICE
The search for Jimmy Dawes, wanted in Kansas for murder, ended today when Sheriff Lyons disclosed that he had called off his posse at the state line where Dawes had crossed into Colorado. Inter-state law at this time does not provide for fugitive return, therefore Dawes cannot be brought to justice by state authority as long as he remains outside the Kansas boundaries.

Quote
“Only an idle man does not know how to handle rest.”
Paladine
“The idle man does not know what it is to rest. Hard work, moreover, tends not only to give us rest for the body, but, what is even more important, peace to the mind. If we have done our best to do, and to be, we can rest in peace.”
Sir John Lubbock, The Pleasures of Life, Chapter X: Labor and Rest
